Scholarship Program

The Linn County REC scholarship program is now open. We are offering multiple scholarships specifically for high school seniors planning to attend a college, university, or vocational/technical school in Iowa this fall (2025).

Applications must include:
1.    Application
2.    High school transcript
3.    Personal letter/Cooperative statement
4.    Two recommendations (submitted separately from your references using the link below)

Scholarship application and recommendation form links with rules and instructions are available below. The application deadline is March 3, 2025.

Bachelor’s Degree Scholarship
$2,000 scholarships for graduating high school seniors enrolling full-time in a bachelor’s degree (undergraduate) program at an accredited college or university in Iowa.

$1,000 scholarships for graduating high school seniors enrolling full-time in an associate’s degree program at an accredited two-year vocational or technical school in Iowa.

Allen Feickert Memorial Scholarship (Powerline Program)
$2,000 Allen Feickert Memorial Scholarships for any graduating high school senior in the state of Iowa who will enter the Powerline Diploma Program at Northwest Iowa Community College.
