Renewable Energy

Interconnection Packetform-iconWEB.pngOur priority is to help members make informed decisions, ensure the safety of all parties involved and that all interconnection requirements are met.

If you are planning to install wind, solar, biomass, methane digester or any other renewable energy source, review Linn County REC’s interconnection policy first.

Linn County REC follows the state of Iowa standardized interconnection requirements put in place by the Iowa Utilities Board. The interconnection packet available here has information regarding specific requirements of Linn County REC along with Iowa Utilities Board requirements that need to be followed when interconnecting.

Billing history information at a residence, business, or a property to a third-party for an account can only be released by filling out Linn County REC’s Member Usage Authorization Form. The member whose name is on the account must sign the release form. Linn County REC reserves the right to verify the request directly with the account holder before sending usage information to a third-party.
