Direct Pay Terms and Conditions

I (we) authorize Linn County REC, hereinafter called Company to initiate electronic debit entries to my bank account to fulfill my (our) monthly electric payment. It is understood that my (our) payment will be deducted from my (our) account five (5) days prior to the “due date” on my (our) monthly statement and may not exceed the “net amount”. It is understood that the Cooperative or I (we) may terminate my (our) participation in the Direct Pay Plan at any time with written or verbal notification. I (we) acknowledge that the origination of ACH transactions to my (our) account must comply with the provisions of U.S. law. In the event a check is returned, a $30.00 fee may be added to your Linn County REC account.

Please Note:

Due to bank regulations, we have to transmit our monthly bank draft file 48 hours in advance of actual withdrawal date of the 20th. If the 20th falls on a holiday or weekend, the withdrawal date will be the next business day. We do not transmit on weekends or holidays so our transmittal date can be anywhere from the 16th to the 18th.

If you are signing up before our transmittal date, your payment will be taken from your account this month. If you sign up after we have transmitted, your payment will not be taken from your bank until next month so you will need to pay your current bill. If you have any questions about this, please call our office at 319-377-1587 or toll free 1-800-332-5420.

If you are already on direct pay and just making a change to an existing bank draft authorization, and our transmittal date falls on a weekend or holiday, the change will be done on the next business day. If you are making a change near our transmittal date, please call our office to discuss the change and avoid having the payment withdrawn from the incorrect account.

Recurring credit or debit card: Have your bill paid automatically from your credit or debit card on the 25th or next business day of each month. Sign up by using the SmartHub link below.
