RECare Program

Help your neighbors in need. Unemployment and unexpected expenses are just some of the many reasons why families fall behind on their energy bills. You can help these families when you contribute to RECare.

RECare is a crisis fund available to help members in need with their electric bills. When you give to RECare, your donation goes directly to families in our community. All funds are distributed by a local community action agency, there are no administrative costs. Your contributions are also tax deductible.

How you can contribute to RECare:

1. Round Up - round up your monthly bill from Linn County REC to the nearest dollar amount and donate to this fund

2. One time pledge included with the net amount on your bill statement.

3. Monthly pledge included with the net amount on your bill statement.

Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP):

The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is designed to assist low-income families with the cost of home heating. Applications are accepted on a first come/first serve basis. For a listing of HACAP offices or to fill out an application with poverty guidelines, visit their website at www.hacap.org.
