Heat Pump Contractor Notification

  • Approved contractors are eligilbe for a $300 contractor incentive for installing new heat pumps systems.  Replacement units are not eligible for contractor incentive.
  • Mini-split systems are eligible for the contractor incentive if the system supplies 100% heating to the residence.
  • Notification form must be completed before the installation/project is started.
  • Must include ACCA approved Manual J and AHRI Certificate.
  • Once the project is completed; email Linn County REC a copy of the invoice along with model/serial numbers of equipment installed.  Do not fill out another rebate form.

Heat Pump Rebate

  • This should be used if the equipment is a replacement unit, equipment has been installed and a Contractor Notification was not submitted, or contractor is not part of the Trade Ally Program.  
  • Approved contractors are eligible for a $150 contractor incentive for installing new heat pumps systems (Manual J and Heat Pump Contractor Notification not required). Replacement units are not eligilbe for contractor incentives. Contractor must submit the rebate on behalf of the member.

Heat Plus Rate 

  • This optional electric space heating rate is offered for homes and small business with approved, separarely metered electric space heating systems.
  • These systems include ground-source or air-source heat pumps, baseboard, ceiling cable, cove, electric boilers, electric furnace and electric water heaters that are used for space heating only.
  • This rate applies to electric space heating only (not domestic water heating).

  • Electric domestic water heating system is required and not allowed to be connected to the Heat Plus Meter.

  • Submitting an application is a must to Linn County REC and should allow time for processing.  Heat Plus Meters will not be installed until an application has been submitted and inspection has been received.

  • Marketing Incentive - $1000 

 

B.E. Smart Home Bonus

  • Rebate - $2000 per home
  • Neep Listed Cold Climate Air-Source Heat Pump or
  • ENERGY STAR Air-Source Heat Pump or
  • ENERGY STAR Ground-Source Heat Pump and
  • ENERGY STAR Heat Pump Water Heater and
  • ENERGY STAR appliances (Clothes washer, Heat Pump Dryer or ENERGY STAR Dryer with delay start/scheduling, Dishwasher, and Refrigerator) and
  • EV Level II Charger or EV Ready Home and
  • Home Energy Rating System (HERS) score of 60 or less
  • Meet all terms and conditions on rebate form

  • B.E. Smart Home Bonus Rebate

  • Eligible for contractor incentives.
  • Up to date information regarding changes in rebates.
