Building Operator Certification

Building Operator Certificate is a nationally recognized, competency-based training and certification program for building operators and facility managers.  Topics covered include facility electrical and lighting systems, HVAC, indoor air quality, sustainability, and energy conservation.  Classroom instruction is combined with hands-on projects using the students' own facilities, so that experience is relevant and practical.

Tuition Incentive

  • $700 per student (Limited to 2 students per year)
  • Reimbursement will be issued after successful completion of BOC Level 1 Training (Certificate required from MEEA)

Eligibility

  • Available to Linn County REC members with facilities ≥ 50,000 sq. ft. and consumes ≥ 1,000,000 kWh annually

In order for and Applicant to be eligible for the BOC Incentive Program, the Applicant must complete this pre-application form and have been approved by Linn County REC for the Program prior to BOC course commencement.
