Kids, meet our mascot, CHIP the LED Kid!

CHIP is our mascot to promote electrical safety, energy efficiency and the cooperative way. He encourages kids of all ages to be energy smart and safety conscious.


  Linn County Rural Electric Cooperative encourages and promotes electrical safety and energy efficiency. In addition to offering free electrical safety presentations to school-aged children, the web sites below are provided to teach children about electricity, electrical safety and energy efficiency.

Safe Electricity : This is an excellent site to learn about electricity. It has a youth section, teacher materials and much more.
