Residential Time of Day Rate

clock faceLinn County REC offers an optional Residential Time of Day rate that rewards members who use, or can move, electricity off of Linn County REC’s peak time which is 4:01 p.m. through 9:00 p.m., seven days a week including weekends and holidays.

Kilowatt demand is greatest during this peak time, potentially causing higher costs for your cooperative. By shifting usage away from this time period, Linn County REC can offer you a lower rate.

The best candidates have balanced year round usage, with on peak usage not greater than 15%. Each month the results of being on Time of Day will show on your billing statement.
