Weatherization

Linn County REC includes a Weatherization incentive for our residential members.

Incentives vary by installation type and by type of primary heating and cooling system so please download our Residential Weatherization Incentive Form and Terms & Conditions BEFORE starting your project to see if you qualify. 

Weatherization efforts that you may qualify for include:

• Attic/Ceiling Insulation
• Wall Insulation
• Foundation Insulation (electric heat only)
• Infiltration Control (electric heat only)
• Duct Insulation/Sealing (electric heat only)

Partial Criteria to Qualify:  (for full criteria, download the Incentive form)

• House must have been built prior to 1996
• Only residential upgrades qualify-no new additions
• Must have electric  heat and/or propane heat with central air conditioning (homes heated with natural gas do not qualify)
• Minimum cost for weatherization project must be $150
• Must comply with pre-exisitng maximum levels and post installation minimums (see Incentive form)

Please Note:  Homes with natural gas heating do not qualify-Contact your gas supplier for any incentives they may offer.
