Central Air-Conditioner
When buying a high efficiency central air conditioning unit, the words do not tell the whole story. Be sure to look at the numbers. The SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) gives more information on what high efficiency really means.
Linn County REC offers incentives on 14.5 SEER /12.0 EER or greater central air conditioners that meet ENERGY STAR® guidelines.
Please note that a copy of the AHRI (Air Conditioning Heating and Refrigeration Institute) certificate is required for you to receive your incentive. Every central air conditioning system should have one and your contractor can and should provide you with this certificate. This certificate provides proof that your system (Outdoor Condenser and Indoor Evaporator Acoil) meet the specific SEER/EER quoted.
14.5 SEER/12.0 EER = $100 incentive/ 16.0 SEER/13.0 EER and above = $150
