REAP

Thank you for your interest in R.E.A.P, our voluntary energy efficient rewards program. R.E.A.P. (Reward for Efficiency Action Points) will allow members to earn reward points for the energy efficient actions they do in their home or business. (Does not include new construction).

This gives us the flexibility to offer our members a customized plan to reward energy efficient actions that do not fall under our current energy efficient incentive programs. These points will be redeemed semi-annually (June and December bill statements) and will be based on energy saving efforts.

There are two ways to receive reward points from this program:

1.Merit: receive points for energy efficient actions. Some examples may include signing up for Emerging Energy, completing an online energy evaluation and participating in surveys. Merit points will be redeemed with energy efficient products.

2.Purchases: receive points for energy efficient purchases that are not covered under our current incentive program. Some examples may include adding solar panels, solar tubes or upgrading windows on existing homes. Purchase points will be redeemed by a credit on your bill. The dollar amount will be determined by Linn County REC based on kWh savings, number of applicants and pool of money available.

How to get started: Download and print a R.E.A.P. form and send in with the required information. Do not use the REAP form for our regular prescriptive Incentives.  (See link to our regular incentive list.)

As a bonus, if you supply your email address, you will automatically be registered to receive Linn County "rEc-Connection" e-communication! It is filled with great information on ways to lower your energy use and save money. In addition to timely and relevant articles—the e-communication comes complete with a searchable energy e-Library; a set of energy Quick-Tips; and HVAC, home energy use, and carbon-footprint calculators—all geared toward helping you better manage your energy.

The best part of Linn County "rEc-Connection" is that it is proactively delivered to your email inbox. We know everyone is looking for ways to save a few dollars and minimize their impact on the environment—Linn County "rEc-Connection" is part of the answer!
