Visit The Cedar Rapids Geothermal Model Home

Learn the benefits of having the most energy efficient heating and cooling system available on the market today by visiting the Linn County REC geothermal model home.  The home located at 1370 Spencer Court NE in Swisher will be showcased during the Cedar Rapids Parade of Homes.

Gaddis Construction designed and built the Linn County REC model home with energy efficiency in mind.  The 4772 square foot house features a 5 ton geothermal heating and cooling system (horizontal slinky loop) installed by E & J Geothermal.

When you visit the home, a Linn County REC representative will be available to speak with you to answer any questions that you may have.  Dave Gilmore, Linn County REC Energy Advisor, has seen a large increase in people choosing to install geothermal systems. “On average, we’ve seen installations double each year for the past 5 years. People today are realizing that they can live in an all electric home affordably, comfortably and with greater safety.”

Please note that a parade of homes ticket will have to be purchased in order to view the Linn County REC geothermal model home. Tickets are $7.00 per person and may be purchased at the model home.
