Electric Water Heater
Why buy an electric water heater with a short term warranty, low insulation and a higher cost of operation when, with Linn County REC's premium electric water heater incentive, you can put an electric water heater with a long term warranty, high tank insulation and lower operating cost in your home or business for less!
Install a high efficiency electric water heater (minimum 50 gallon tank capacity and minimum energy factor of .92 for a 50 to 79 gallon tank or an energy factor of at least .90 for 80 and above gallon tank as listed in GAMA) and receive an incentive of $250 per unit.
Qualifying water heaters can be purchased from most home improvement stores or contractors.
Dedicated heat pump water heaters meeting criteria are eligible for $400 per unit. These are also listed in GAMA. Please note that a heat pump water heater is not the same as a "desuperheater" that comes with air source or geothermal heat pumps.
